Phillips Historical Society
Built in the 1830’s, The Bose House holds a collection of Portland Glass, house furnishings from the time, information on local families, and copies of the Phillips newspapers. A typical New England house with barn and shed with displays in each. Open summers 1st & 3rd Sundays or by appointment.
Regular Operating Hours:
1st and 3rd Sundays – June through the 1st Sunday in Oct – 1pm to 3pm
Also open on the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of Phillips Old Home Days. (calculate from 3rd Friday in August)
Fri – 10am – 4pm
Sat – 10am – 3pm
Sun – 1pm – 3pm
Note that these dates correspond to most, but not all, of the SR&RL RR operating dates. Of note to railfans is their Railroad Room with a very nice collection of photographs and artifacts of the SR&RL RR.
