The Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Railroad operates on selected weekends typically from Father’s Day through mid October. Fares are $7 per adult or child age 13 and older, $3, for children under 13, and children under 6 may ride for free. Please note that all trains run subject to the availability of equipment and manpower. Group rates are available for large groups on normal operating dates, and charter rates are available for dates that are not on our published operating calendar. We can accommodate groups of up to 100 and would love to host your group for a special day of narrow gauge railroading. Please contact us for information or to book your event.

Uniformed forces of both the confederate and union armies battle for control of the train. The train stops at a clearing where a major skirmish between the two sides takes place. This event includes gunfire and may not be appropriate for small children. Our re-enactors take turns at the winning and losing roles, so you won’t know who is going to win until the guns fall silent and the smoke clears.
