For the car barn we will need to make a number of switches. The pictures enclosed show our machinist, now an engineering student, grinding switch points on our vertical mill. Noah McAdam has limited time availability but could be available to guide a machinist on this necessary project. We could also use the help of a master machinist in selecting a lathe to turn axles. We will need both axles and wheels to create replica cars and have only a few axles and very few wheels. For flanger 504 we do have both but then we are stuck! If we contract the axle work prices quoted were over $2,900 but the steel billet was only $200.
